Soil Requirements

Like most plants Wild Chilli's will grow in any decent fertile soil, however the quality of the soil has a great influence on growth and fruit production. In general potting soil must be light and not to compact and it must have a high oxygen level. Soil that's to compact will interfere with the air movement, and can cause that roots begin to rot. It's essential that roots can absorp enough oxygen!
